So lately my oil pressure gauge light has come on when I first start driving the car and I am wondering what the cause of this is? I've also noticed that now the pressure is higher than usual. I am 100-200 miles overdue on an oil change, so I am hoping that this is the problem but I wanted to post just incase there are any other possibilities causing this and is there any danger driving the car like this that I should be careful of? BTW, I am setting up an appointment to get it changed on Monday.

 

dont b lazy check and change your oil. it takes like 5 min

That light is for oil level, not oil pressure.

 

so then why is my oil level light going on?
