oil pressure blues

the low down: rebuilt engine, and oil is not flowing. engine is only hooked up for cranking it over w/ some ghetto grounds. Oil system is like this, a-spec single kit with stainless feed line, large dual oilcooler kit with huge stainless lines, stainless OMP lines (OMP is not hooked up to the harness, as well as the ECU)...and the rest is stock.

the problem: have done alot of cranking, and the oil isn't flowing at all. the level in the pan hasn't changed, and the turbo feed line is dry, as well as the oil cooler feed.

is there any ways to help coax the oil through? I suspect the problem is in the oil pickup in the pan. before I put the pan on I noticed there was some of that red grease stuff used for rebuilding in the screen. I didn't think it would stop the oil from passing through tho. so I have oil in the pan, and I also dumped some down the oil pedistal where the filter sits to try and "prime" it a bit.

so any other tricks I could try, or is it time to pull the motor/pan and replace/clean the oil pickup screen? or do you even suspect that's the problem? thanks much.
