Question Oil Pressure

I had my engine replaced about 3000 miles ago, and I have been changing my oil every 1000 miles with 10w30. My oil pressure on the stock gauge is barley above zero once it is warmed up. When it is cold the pressure is up around 120 on the stock gauge. Does any one else have this problem. It came with a new oil pump, so I don't think that is it. Should I try to use 20w50? Let my clear up one thing, once it is warmed up, and I am driving at around 2500 to 3000 RPM's I only get about 40 psi on the stock gauge. Thank for listening!!!

That is a common problem with our cars. Mine started messing up on me like 3 days ago. Now the needle is barely above the 0 line when idleing. If the oil level is good, dont worry about what the stupid gauge is saying.

Check your Oil Pressure Sending unit. It has a tendancy to get dirty or have oil drip on it.

The oil gauge shouldn't read 0 when the car is warm.
