Oil Pressure

I am new to this forum - first post - and have a question regarding my 1994 RX7. Car has 39,000 miles and my question has to do with the oil pressure.
At an idle, the gauge registers near or at zero, pressure goes up as the rpm's rise. Oil changes at 3,000 miles consistently and I use Castrol 10-30w. Do others have the same experience?

do a search for oil pressure sender

they go bad or get dirty very easily,

just for your info, you should be at 30 psi at idle, 60 psi at 3000 rpm, and about 110-120 at high rpms.
