oil pan leaking
Technically, the oil pan braces don't "eliminate" leaks. The reason is that it's still only determined by how good of a job the person does who actually seals the pan. What the brace does provide is:
* More evenly disbursed torque of the oil pan bolts (providing better sealing)
* Resistance to the flexing of the oil pan during spirited running

No. The only drilling or modifying that needs to be done is when using the stock driver's side mount with aftermarket solid mounts.
Pretty much. But once again, the quality of the seal is not really determined by using a brace or not. The quality of the seal is based on the quality of the job being done. You can have a leak with a brace, and you can have a good seal without a brace.
True. Its worth the extra time to get both surfaces cleaned up. There shouldn't be any pieces of old gasket or sealer on there, and the oil should be cleaned off as well with some degreaser or solvent. It should be bare metal,
sounds good to me.. when i do this I will def make sure its clean straight and all the goodies.. and when i seal it ill make sure its done right and that no oil will be put in for a few days.
Hope it works and thank god i dont need a different motor mount!
