oil metering injector questions

How do thse function exactly ? .. under vacuum and boost ...
because the way they are connected from factory .. unless i am understanding this wrong .. they never see any boost in their vacuum lines.

is the pressure in the vacuum line ever responsible for how much oil these inject?

should they ideally be connected to a source that allows these to sees manifold pressure ... always vacuum .. or only boost ?

any input wold be greatly appreciated .

thx

Nope, that's the Metering Pump's job. There are two thoughts the matter as to the source for the vacuum lines:

1. Need vacuum source
2. Need filtered air source

I'm not going to rehash old arguments, but if you have air going directly into the motor (i.e. through the oil injector nozzles as they open to allow oil into the engine); make sure it's filtered.

Lengthy thread, but read through at least the first couple of pages of posts and I think you'll get a good sense of how it works.
