Oil Line Crush Rings?

Crush Rings is what I heard someone refer to them as but I really don't know the right name...these would be the little brass washer tings at the end of the oil lines where they join to the turbos...my lines are leaking at this spot...is it possible to change the rings without pulling the turbos?

Yes, I replaced mine when I replaced water pump gaskets. The manual say,s you need to, to pull the water pump body ( but not for just the pump ).
I had alot of other stuff off the front of the engine, but just pulling the air box may do it.
Also if I did it again I would just go to Home Depot or similar place and match the size. One of the washers is actually adouble one (shaped like an 8) The dealer told me they don't make it any more, an said they now just use the same reg. shaped washers.
Also the manual just refers to them as "gasket"

I am pretty sure you will need to pull off the y-pipe to get to both oil supply line banjo bolts on the turbos. I know you can get the one on the rear turbo by just taking off the rear turbo inlet hose and using a long extension with 10mm socket. Pretty tight down there, but you can do it. The front one is a different story. It is right below the y-pipe. The dealer does call them gaskets. Mazda Comp. told me they were discontinued for '93-'95, but they found them in the '99 catalog and sent them to me. They are the same as '93 "gasket". That are actually small copper washers.

The oil return lines use thin metal gaskets and those are easier to get at. Two 10mm bolts on each of those.

Good luck.

Jeff
