hi,

i have a problem with my car. i can see some oil stain around the compressor house of my turbo and around a coolant cap. the previous owner of the car told me that i can be the oil restrictor. He took it out. one more thing my car is having a little bit of white smoke when idle. is it possible that the oile goes through intercooler to engine?

so, should i put the retrictor back on? is there any chance that the car will run lean?

by the way i'm runing single t62-1 turbonetics

 

sounds to me like blown seals in the turbo, well that would at least explain the oil on the turbo and the smoke at idle. as far as the coolant cap. i dont have an explination.

 

but there's no white cloud when i'm on boost at all. i used to have a bad seal turbo before, when i let off the gas, there's white smoke everywhere. it's defenitely not that bad

 

can one give me the idea about restrictor?
