oil injector quick question

right i have my turbo anbd inlet manifolds in a million pieces doing a few mods here and there and i noticed that one of the 2 oil injector pipes has no oil inside it (can see the oil in the other because car is in need of oil change),,, this is about the 3rd time in a year ive noticed this when doing repair work.
When i start the car after 10 mins both pipes have oil in them,, so the pump is working ok, that isnt the problem,,,,, when the engine is shut off i beleive the injectors are supposed to seal (1 way vavle) and hold oil in the pipes till next start up (to make sure engine is oil fed upon ignition).
Now reading the manual in the lubrication section its say that to test the oil injectors you should only be able to blow through and not suck (just like a 1 way check valve),,, i can blow and suk through both of mine,,,,,so are they knackered,, can someone shed me some light on this,, thanks

The check valves in the injectors frequently go bad at high mileage. I would replace them...they are not expensive.

If you can blow and suck then you need some new ones. I went through oil injector probs a few weeks ago. I also have some pics of one that I cut open I need to post up here. Mine had a small hole in one of the baffles causing mine to leak.

The only thing is you should still have oil in the lines, that should be another problem and not an oil inj. problem. When the car shuts off the vaccum on the nozzles holding the baffle shut is relieved.

BTW replacing my bad oil injectors fixed my oil leak as well as the oil in my turbos/IC.

I'm guessing approx. $50 for both maybe a little more maybe less. I got two good used ones from a guy around here so I got lucky.

23.94 each from Ray. I just replaced mine during a recent rebuild.
