oil cooler suggestions

I have a base model 93 rx7 and i went for like about 1 mile yesterday and all the oil just gushed out of the oil cooler . luckily i turned it off right away just in time and saved the motor. i would like to know if there is any good recommendations on oil coolers for the rx7 other than stock because unfortunately mazda dealer wants 800 for just the stock oil cooler .

There are plenty of them for sale. There's actually one on Ebay (260387664595) fairly cheap. That may buy you some time until you decide to upgrade, or you may find that it will work out just fine after you replace it. Why did it blow? Did the core develop a leak or is the leak at one of the lines?

I use stock R1 oil coolers with a 99spec bumper and they are more than sufficient. I do various track days, AutoX and street driving. If you are dead set on aftermarket, Fritz has a set of 19 or 25 row oil coolers and lines for sale. Just remember though, whatever you go with, you need some type of ducts to fed air to the cooler.
