Oil Cooler Line

Is there a difference setup between the auto oil cooler line and the manual?
I know that the auto only use one oil cooler and one tranmission cooler. I just finish the auto to manual swap and i found out that the oil cooler line from the manual dont connect to the auto oil cooler line.

The manual cars have either nothing or a 2nd engine oil cooler on the passenger side -- they don't have a tranny cooler.

The R1's 2nd oil cooler is not the same as the auto tranny cooler -- it's not supposed to "bolt on".

The automatic engine oil cooler is located on the driver side of the vehicle. On a manual car this cooler would be the 2nd in line oil cooler for that circuit on an R1. In other words, on a manual R1 model the oil comes out of the front of the engine, goes to the passenger side oil cooler, out of it and over to the driver side oil cooler, out of it and back in the top of the engine near the oil filter.

You need the auto engine oil outlet hose to the driver side oil cooler - that is what you need to run one oil cooler. Now I know some base model manuals also had one oil cooler, R1 had two.

OR convert your auto trans cooler to a engine oil cooler like I did on all three of my conversions by running some AN-10 hose and making some fittings. Then you will have a dual oil cooler setup and your engine will love you.
