just taken delivery of my type r and the oil .light keeps coming on so i guess i need to put some oil in it, but what sort, what do you all recomend.

I use synthetic.. I been using it for past 1.5 years.. of course, I have only driven 3k... So, I might be doing some serious damage to my car.. who knows.. someone else might answer this better than me..

 

Wow, man, you need to be a little more aware of what's going on with your car. These cars will bite you hard if you don't maintain them properly.

The first thing you do when you get a used car is change the oil and filter! Do this NOW!

You can use 10w30 synthetic or mineral oil. Synthetic is better for the turbos and a good quality one (Mobil 1) will not cause any problems with the engine.
