I've had a solid torque brace for over 2 years now and that side of the engine compartment is just fine.

I did not like the amount of vibration I was getting so here is Ghetto version 2:

I call it HOTS: Hydraulic Optimized Torque Spring

It features unique "tuning fork" technology.
(an off the shelf clevis fork)

Its a gas spring with a homemade mounting bracket made from a piece of angle aluminum, some pretty chrome hardware, a "coil-over" spring (that doesn't do a damn thing...) , the clevis fork, and a piece of yellow shrink tube over the gas spring just for grins so that it matches my vacuum tubing!

The damn thing ACTUALLY works., but I have $50.00 of parts into this "version" so the budget has been pretty much blown.

The shifting is still crisp and there is no vibration.

That one looks awesome Ron! I might just drive down to tucson and check it out. Can you do a quick easy right up on what parts are needed and assembly?

Thanks!
