Is there any way that maybe you can post like a picture or something of these parts that i have to buy. I really don't know what half of these parts look like, and i don't know where would i start either. It is a great mod and cheap too and i would really like to make it.

Thanks a lot

Without taking it apart, no. But here's a couple more pix with a closeup view - that should help. In the "engine" joint notice the bottom of the eye bolt at the 4 to 6 o'clock position has been ground flat so it does not rub on the UIM. In the "frame" joint picture, one side of the eye bolt has been ground flat to make it narrower, allowing to clear the ABS off to the right side.

well, Ace hardware is closed today due to the holiday. I went to home depot and lowes and they don't have turnbuckle that big, so i guess i'll have to wait till tomorrow.
Is there any drawbacks of this mod? I mean i don't know what's the real one made of but i thought it's some kind of shock or something. And this one doesn move anywhere once you screw it on.
So won't this maybe cause problems to the motor mounts or something?

Thanks

After I installed the brace I went for a ride, man my car feels like I'm drivind a tractor, when idles it rattles alot, once I'm moving and rpm's are higher no problem but ilding is like a chain saw my hands are numb from shaking lol.
It definitely gives better shifting though, I tryed red lining from 2nd to 3rd few times and felt good, didn't miss it like I usualy would but there is still something I got to do about the shaking in idle.

does anyone with the torque brace notice problems with the side of the car where its mounted? seems like it would put a lot of stress on it? has it shifted at all, or dented in?

Actualy I did it friday, I'm in a proces of complete hose job, just rebuilded the turbos and made a full non-seq. conversion so was a good time to pressure wash all that ugly dirt away while everything was out of the way.

You're going to break your uni-body Ron!!!

Anyways, that was a joke for all the worrisome types out there. Let it be known that RE-A uses a similar brace on all of their cars and we can assume they know what they're doing.

Good work. Maybe you should push the limits and make a mini coil-over kit for this, adjustable spring perch and all.

Just back off on the bolts a little. Mine shook when I really cranked them down.

A little OT, but I'd like to add that I recently bought the Rmagic torque brace (I'm useless at making things) - and gotta say, what a great modification. If you're reading this thread and thinking "should I..." - two thumbs up from me. Even better if you can make your own (capably).
