Question OEM single turbo'd fd

my friend and i are arguing over if the fd ever came stock single turbo'd, he says he saw a 95 at a dealership that had a "stock" single turbo and i told him that car salesman was wrong and it was aftermarket and that it always came stock twinturbo'd whos right?

Tell your friend to do some online research about FD. He obviously does not know what he's talking about =D

I especially love it when other people "insist" to tell me about my own car... especially the non-turbo versions

Part of the problem is that many electronic parts catalogues list turbo and non-turbo as options. I think a lot of the confusion stems from this (and the fact that previous generation cars had both configurations).

Doubt it was ever in a dealership as such, but in 95 the local distributor did in fact deliver one brand new single turbo FD....so if he was in Oz at the time, the story may have some basis.....

I had to show some salesman at my local dealer it really is a Mazda, he didn't recognize it.
But hey, there were only 10 FDs sold in total in the whole country.
