So, this seems like a sill question, but I can't figure it out. I recently put a OEM 99 spec bumper on my car and I can't for the life of me figure out how I am supposed to mount a license plate. I have a properly sized Japanese plate, that's not the issue. Is there anything I'm missing from a hardware standpoint? There is no way to get a hand or wrench behind the plate holder with the bumper on.

 

You put metal clips on them that have a nut on the backside.

its a pretty common part, most dealers stock it

 

Yep...sometimes called a ‘captured nut’.

The hood was purchased from forum member RX7Fighter. It took a while and was quite a saga, but he packaged it well so it turned out ok. He might have another hood. Drop him a PM
