Variation of pin the tail on the donkey

Played a variation of pin the tail on the donkey with my local area map. Semi randomly used a computer mouse to choose a road to travel today for a quick drive. I say semi as it needed to be west of where I live, away from the metro area and of course could not be a two track for I was off in the 7.

The area and roads were deserted, more bicyclists the motored vehicles. Twas a four lane, 2 each direction, 55 mph smooth road. Nothing but peddlers and cactus.

Almost passed on taking the car out for a run, then I would have missed the smile it put on my face. What better way to keep my social distance than a spin alone on a deserted road.

Car was running great, responsive, loving the 4:44 gears, and temps were all within my parameters. It was an expressway for the first portion to the exit and was enjoying myself so much, wasn’t pushing it that I noticed was just running off the 7 lb wastegate. This was just as the buildings stopped so hit the boost toggle and yea that’s fun.

Was only for 1.5 hrs or was it 2, now car has been driven to keep the seals wet, new gas was put into the tank, and my water injection is working so perhaps got rid of some carbon. A good morning indeed. Only sad part was not having some friends to drive with and a stop for some grub and conversation, that’s on the agenda for when this crazy times are a distant memory.
