Odd thumping coming from rear left (video)

Hey all, I've recently came across an issue with my FD. I have started to hear and feel a loud thumping sound coming form the rear left side of the vehicle (my FD is RHD so passenger side). The thumping will come and go so it not consistently there while driving. I had a friend who is a mechanic look over and try to pin point the issue but he didn't see anything wrong. He said all the suspension parts were tight and nothing looked broken. Drive shaft and axle looked fine according to him as well. I recorded a video for anyone willing to give it a look and give me their opinion.

obviously, we are all human so my friend may have missed something. So all feedback his appreciated especially if you think the issue is from something he may have thought was fine.

Thank you

video to come

It's hard to tell from the video, but that either sounds like a failing wheel bearing or a tire that is broken some kind of way.

With that wheel off the ground, it should be obvious by trying to shake the wheel if something is loose. Or the tire should look severely misshapen.

Sounds like a flat spot, bubble or separated tread ply in the rear tire.

Rotate that tire to the front and see if the noise follows the tire

Jack up that corner and hold your hand against the tire tread as you rotate it past your hand. If it's the tire you should feel the bulge, flat spot, irregularity, etc. Make sure you feel both outer and inner edges of the tread.

Hopefully while wearing gloves. You'd think I'd learnt a lesson, been caught 3 or 4 times by sharp foreign objects cleaning debris off hot tyres!
