Unhappy O2 sensor problem, please help

Hello, I have 300 miles on a new rebuild. It is a Pettit Streetported with 3mm Apex seals if this helps any. I put a downpipe on the new motor and along with that I went ahead and put on a new Oxygen sensor. I am getting a Code 15...Oxygen sensor. That is the one and only code. I am thinking it is making me run really rich. If I try to build minimal* boost (1~2lbs) it will spike and return to 0, and also when i get near 4000 rpm it will kindof die off. I haven't gone over 4k rpm, just been near it and can feel it doing this. I am thinking the oxygen sensor definately has something to do with this. The sensor wire is plugged in correctly and it's all in right. What gives? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Jack

No, not the O2 sensor. It is not used under acceleration or boost. Only for idle and light cruise to about 3000 rpm.

Clear out the ECU and retest. If still there, then you have a bad wire or bad O2 sensor, or maybe a badly grounded engine.

Check TPS voltages and map sensor.

When ever a new engine does not run right, it normally is caused by something notput back on correctly.

ok thanks cewrx7r1, I will clear it out and let you know. I was going to mention that the light comes on cruising about 65~70 on the freeway, but you beat me to it by saying cruise about 3000 rpm, thanks. I will keep you updated
