Nurburgring 26th June Weekend

Just a message for Jun/June (Spelling?) & Ben (not forgetting Scott) who we met at the Ring to say thanks for hanging about with us - showing how easy it was to throw a Rex off the track and how wonderful Americans truly are at Bar-b-q's

Look forward to getting all ya pics and video - think we're gonna be collating all this for a long time - I'll set Martin free on Pinnacle and see what he can produce

Again thanks for a great time guys - pm me ya email etc and I'll send you guys some stuff.

Ooh here's some pics I found of us while trawling the net on my lunch break

No need for helmets as technically it's a "public toll road" hehe. As I value life I wore one all the way round every lap (as can be seen me driving my C-west)

Ring is my favourite place - if I can encourage the Mrs.. I'll retire there.. still only 40 years of working to go haha - COMMMONNN lotto!

Ahh they aren't Porker wheels matey I'm sure he'll tell you what they were when he comes along - assuming he's not sleeping hehe

here's some more I found

ill use either scoot's RX7/ Red-Rx7's car / or that red 710hp T51R rx7 from the video

and put them on the track & let Bestmotoring's 905HP nsx & nurburgring's 600hp BMW M5 try & keep up

Do they give you any instructions or rules before letting you out on the track? Or do you just pay for the number of laps that you want and head straight out?

hehe got even more pics to come - finding loads on the net - not even posted up ours yet

No rules really other than respect others. One of the racing bikes we went out with got smacked off by a Imprezza driver and he was done for dangerous driving by the police - same kinda deal being a public road as you'd get anywhere else.

There's a noise limit of sorts which they'll test you if they think you're reving / zooming around in the slow area - other than that just drive out and have fun

gt4 is pretty much spot on with the track - really helps to learn it on there so you know where the heck you are going.

Major differences in real life is

* The amount of traffic - bikes & cars everywhereeeeeee
* You can't see over most peaks / hills (and you can on the game)
* The bumpyness is much greater
* You don't feel the g's zooming up some of the hills
* You don't bang her bleedin head every time you make the hill on the first long straight hehe

So tell me about all the grafitti on the track...I've seen that for the past 10+ years when I watched the 24h races and other series that use that track and always thought it was funny and unique but never understood why they allow it since I would guess too much of that stuff sprayed on the track would interfere with traction???

Already making plans to go back on the july 9-10 weeken. Have more people wanting to go after I show then the crashing video I don't think I will bring Scott unless he runs his wagon plus he is a little annoying. Ben is on leave so he is back in Ohio driving his mothers M3. My buddy Yan wants to test his E30 Mtec on the track and some other co-workers want to try out the ring including a 350z owner. My car will still have the same setup with the crap tires and still kicking out sand/rocks from my spinout. This will be my final trip there this year until i get back from my long depoyment. Also I will be doing a single turbo upgrade since im missing the vacuum box that controls some of the stock twin setup. Maybe having some boost at high RMP will let me keep up on the straights

Just the locals... good 13 miles track which goes through many a village so people just jump over the railing when it's closed (easy to do) and scribble all over it. Saw pics of people snowboarding down it in winter too hehe!
