Not that I'm complaining...

After reading and hearing a lot about other RX-7 owner's experiences. Makes me wonder if mine is healthy. Example, I hear about the bad milage and emission problems. My car gets pretty damn good milage and all my emission test were fantastic. So good that it didn't even register on some of the readings. Is my car not running the way it should? I have a `94 RX-7.

My heavily modified RX7 passes VA emission no problem... we're talking a ported motor, intake/IC/catback/DP/hiFlow w/ PFC and SR's over-the-phone maps.

Gas mileage is a non-issue in my opinion... like saying it has trunk space "problems".

I think it means your car IS running as iot should vs. the folks w/ the bad stories.

Remember, you only typically see posts from people when they have problems. No one ever posts "I got in my car, drove to work, then later drove home. Car ran normally."

Just like you can't paint a picture of everyday life by watching the news.

Well, if I knew how much my tank holds. Never paid attention to these things. I did take a trip 2.5 hours strait each way...so five hours of driving, avg speed between 65-70+ish (that's my story and I'm sticking to it ) and I still had a little under a 1/4 tank left. Anyone crunch the numbers for me?

holy crap! 25 mpg? That issssss pretty good! But that's only if you're driving it conservatively right? I like to use my boost... not redline by any means, but you know, just to get it going some say about 4500 to 5000 rpm... I notice that my gas mileage goes down to about 15 mpg!!! when pushed... Are all yours like that too? If I'm driving decent, maybe 21 mpg...

The gas mileage thing is typically around town in "stop and go" driving where it suffers. The FD does pretty good with highway driving and gas milegae.

I got 400 miles out of my gas tank one time with some extra to spare (probably about 2 gallons left).....that's 20 mpg with a downpipe and exhaust.

I get 25 mpg on the highway, and anywhere from 13-18 mpg in the city, depending on how I feel like driving that day. I've got a '93 touring with a ported/polished motor and RB exhaust.
