Its not common to put nos on our motors because they are pretty much zero tolerance when it comes to detonation.

Its not NOS!

Its Nitrousoxide!

NOS is a Company, N20 is a gas.

Sorry, my pet peeve. Us V8 owners don't watch the F&F

Yes I am quite aware that its nitousoxide . I wasnt aware i was supposed to include the imperical formula in my answer. Maybe you should put down the chemistry book and read up on your car.

I apoloize this doesn't add to the thread, however, no "NOS" thread would be official without that comment

so instead of writing down the name (nitrousoxide) or the empirical formula (pointing out your mistakes since you're being an *** too), you decided to put down the name of a company which makes some products that utilize Nitrous Oxide in their deisgn and expected to be taken for anything more than another F&F moron?

oh and... might i add... i need two big bottles of NAAAWWWWZZZZ!!! 'cause then i can blow my floor pans off with tyte skills and mad quick shifting yo

lol let me tell you a little story:

my coworker came up to me because his car idled like ****; he was hoping that I would have an idea what of what was wrong with his car.

A little history first:
-He was a new FD owner

-Had a brand new J spec engine put in (this was a few years ago) because three weeks after he bought the car from a delership his seals went. So not risking a lawsuit the delaership installed a new (not a reman) engine for him.

-The next thing I know hes got exhaust, intake, a SAFC ok...

Ok so we went to the parking lot. He gets in and after a few tries he finally starts the car (bad indication). It idles like ****. Looks like the ******* engine wants to jump out of the car (horrible indication).

So I ask "What happened? Did it all of the sudden do this?"

He replies "yeah out of nowhere. I had just gotten off the NITRO and I heard the sound of marbles and then it ran like ****. Do you know what it could be???"

did he just say nitro!!! He has nitro?!!! I thought to myself. I didn't even bother to check to see if the map sensor hap popped off. And I didn't have the heart to tell him that his 2 month old engine was blown . I just told him that he needed to have his car checked by a rotary especialist.

Moral of the story: don't be a punk and add N20. Be a man and add real power mods that will keep you fast all of the time. Not some **** on a bottle that runs out.

I never said i was a spelling bee winner. I am however around Nitrousoxide on cars on a common basis and its very rarely called by its proper name. I guess the F&F started all the various slang terms

just so you'll know my story i bought a fd about 8 weeks ago and put most everything i could think to buy for it. up graded the fuel pump, injectors and fuel regulator. I also changed the spark plugs to ngk's and put a new fuel filter. After that i bought an e managerment system but no one around midland texas will wok on it. I also bought a new intake, bigger intercooler, new bov, i also put a new mid pipe and down pipe along with a hks exhaust but the moral of my story is that i have tried to upgrade the right way but that car still ran 16 sec 1/4 mile and got beat by a stock S2000 with N2o. Know i know nitrous is bad and all but it works. And nothing else has. So if you could just tell me how big of a shot i can hold i would really appreciate that.

You ran a 16 sec. 1/4 mile with those mods?!? Stock Rx7's runs mid to high 13's. Have you goten a compression test done?? Something might be wrong with the motor, or you just suck at driving.

That probably explains your 16 second times, if not your motor has problems and adding bolt-ons wont help you if thats the case. There are many rotary shops around Texas, Gotham and RP being two of them I think. They might be far away from you but in your case its worth it to take the drive.

Also, if your considering nitrous and you're runing 16's with your mods, I'd give your engine two days to crap out on you. You should be in the high 12's with that setup when it gets tuned. Save your money on a compression test then if its fine have a rotary shop tune your ECU. In the end if all goes well you'll forget what the word NOS means.

Well you OBVIOUSLY didn't read the FAQ, or the page linked in the answer, or else you'd have realized that if you can't find someone to tune it now, you'll never find someone to tune it to N2O.

But since it seems you want a simple answer, the correct answer is a 250 shot. On stock fuel systems, 150 shot. It'll screw up your idle a bit as your engine breaks into the extra load, and maybe nick a few turbine blades, but consider that a poor mans clipped turbo mod. That whole warning about tuning and detonation and broken apex seals is just a big bluff we use to keep the newbies from going faster than us.

what a bunch of limp *****...

Here you go bro: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=409101

Best thing to do is Search, find the ppl who have done it and ask them first hand experience.

Then go from there and decide what you wanna do with YOUR car. Being you "F&F" it out or you DO what everyone one of these gimps tell you to do that they read on a or any forum, that some one did or had or heard from a friends cousin that his brother mother two dads, saw. Oh and he also read it on the forum....

Do what you like don't be afriad to blow anything...how will you know if you don't try....Oh, because someone posted that it blew their motor...What bout the ppl that use it and HAVE NOT blown the motor???

-Ryan

Here's an idea. Fix what's wrong with the car before adding more crap to complicate the problem even more. With the parts you listed on sticky tires the car will run high 11's if you're at least a half *** driver. Is this really a troll thread?
