FC or miata ones come on at 85 I think right? I think I read somewhere that our thermos were so high to help with emissions and to make sure the engine warms up quick. The source and I could be wrong.

As far as the PFC, yeah it is a good idea to lower the temp but 85 is to low. The fans would be running constantly. I think 89 - low 90s would be great. This would also decrease the life of the fan. If I have bad temp problems I just leave the AC on as somebody mentioned. I first read that optimally you turn on the heat to cool down the engine but everything runs fine with the cold air blowing to. Thats what I do since the tranny tunnel gets toasty anyway haha.

I also read a thread recently about the stock fans. Apparently they are very good because they are very thin in move air very well. I dont think you really need to upgrade the fans. There is a definite OEM improvement for the fans themselves. The newer efini fans were lighter and spun faster. I saw someone selling them on the forums but for some reason the deal didnt go through .
