Is this normal price ?

I was trying to order some stuff from RX7.com and I was stunned when I heard their price quote on these items for my FD:

- Autometer dual pod for A-pillar
- front and rear red efini emblems
- front brake pads
- platinum set NGK spark plugs

At rx7store.net I got quoted around $185 with shipping to Europe (but Jason can't accept credit cards, which rx7.com can).

RX7.com quoted me $388 for above items !?!
What do you think ?

Jason's prices are always the lowest or among the lowest you will ever see. That means he's willling to accept a lower margin but make it up in volume (and satisfied customers). Handling credit cards is expensive - often another 2 to 4%, plus the additional expense of having a secure server.

So many people dispute purchases with credit cards for ridiculous reasons that it often just is not worth the hassle to take them. Phone orders or online orders do not offer the merchant the same protection as a signed credit card slip. Then there's fraud that is running out of control and the banks really could care less.

Jason is a quality merchant who is 100% full time in the business - why not support him?

Those other prices you were quoted are insane....as always - shop around.

Yeah.....wait a minute......you're right! Order away Cruiser! Maybe he does not accept credit cards from Europe for some reason, but I can't imagine why.

I still think you should support him, it's his nickle that runs this forum.

what kind of brake pads are you going with anyways? I suggest Hawk HP+ pads

dusty as hell but they have a great initial bite to them.

good luck

P.S. I agree with RonKMiller, why not buy from Jason if he is the cheapest???

BTW: I was not aware that europe creditcards were any different then ours are.

We do take credit cards, but for overseas orders we generally dont. Its hard to verify their account information on their credit card.

If someone is willing to fax us a copy of their card with their billing information we will take it.

Jason, so if I fax you the credit card copy and my billing information you'll process my order ?

Thing is that overhere we do not yet have Paypal and wire transfer fees are around $25 so the credit card is the my best bet. Jason, you can expect my fax copy today or tomorrow. I suppose I need to supply my shipping information also ? (although that one is already in my order with your store). If this goes through, you will have one happy, returning customer

Jason, you're the man ! Thanks !

Just got a mail from rx7.com that they already charged my card (without me confirming the order - I wanted to see the prices for the items first). Oh well, they're fast, sometimes too fast. That price quote already includes the alluminium AST ($150) so the price quote isn't too bad. But I'll order from Jason in the future, he's got way better prices anway... Below is a price breakdown for items:

RP-Dual A-pillar mount $47.95
Front Efini Badge (Red) $24.99
Rear Efini Badge(Red) $24.99
Bonez Front Brake Pads $65.00
Spark Plug Set $39.80
Aluminum AST $149.95
Total $352.68
Shipping Credit for other order
-$15.00

Total $337.68
Add real Shipping $ 68.25
New Total $405.93
Your total w/$50.75 S+H $388.43
