noob's first post...question about shops

Howdy all. If you're wondering about the board name, I currently own a 1998 Mustang GT and am very interested in replacing it with a 3rd gen. I used to drive an 86 RX-7 before the stang, so I guess I'm returning to my roots

quick request for my first post: I've been out of the import scene for quite some time, but I've always wanted a 3rd gen ever since I saw the first "spy shots" in 1992. Its only until now that I can actually afford to buy and maintain one. I know the potential for these cars are very great, and I would appreciate any information regarding respectable Southern California shops that do good work on the 3rd gen, for mods I wouldn't be able to do on my own.

looking forward to hopefully being a part of the Mazda community again...

all my dealings so far have been through tri-point engineering in the west end of the san fernando valley. theyve done all my installs, and many of my parts are of tri-point design (intakes, exhaust, modular sways). Ive found that at times things can move slow in the shop, but theyre always honest and stand by all the work they do. so far its been great working with them and im getting ready to have them do a single turbo and street port on my car

hey LZY, thanks for the info. I remember TriPoint being mentioned in an RX-7 classified ad. San Fernando is a bit far from where I am (out in the Riverside area) but then again I've driven all the way out to Torrance and Huntington Beach just for a dyno-tune. Definitely thanks for the heads-up.

Anyone else? I've also heard Racing Beat out in Anahiem is also a good source of parts, but don't know if they do customer installations.
