noob turbo question
what is the max boost i can run on stock turbos and stock intercooler. If i was to add hard piping would it change any? What would be the best intercooler and piping for the price? All i have done to the car now is downpipe and intake and catback. and turbo gauge. Would i have to upgrade the ecu to up the boost? Would you guys recomend doing intercooler or radiator first.

don't race, don't need to
You are about to get destroyed by commands to search. In general, you will find sage advice to not exceed 12 psi on the stock system in order to avoid fuel cut. Fuel cut will lean the engine, cause detonation, and destroy the engine. Upgrading the piping and intercooler still requires the 12 psi limit to remain safe. These improvements can lead to boost spikes and boost creep, which can destroy the engine, especially with the the upgrades you've already done. If you really want to up the boost, you will need an ECU for your setup...

12 psi is a little high, but I agree it should be safe.
I run a perfect 10-8-10 every time and I see no reason to go any higher. I look at it as this is what the car was designed to run, why mess with it.
Just my 2 cents.

I'm suprised you made it this far w/o an upgraded ecu or fuel mod, from what everyone says those kinda mods without the upgrade demolish the engine sooner or later, but more likely sooner than later.

i dont think there really is a fuel cut problem when you install something like a powerfc, if anything i think it would more likely be a overheating problem once you boost over 12 psi with a stock intake, and stock intercooler. just my 2 cents
