Red face Non start - need help!

Hi guys, my FD was running fine (apart from ticking over a bit fast) until a couple of weeks ago. It cut out at a junction and at trafic lights, both times it started ok. Cut out a couple of days later and was more dificult to start, then a day or so later cut out and would not start, left it in the street to go to work. After work managed to get it started and get it home where it cut out as I pulled up at my house. Couldnt get it started at all. Will turn over fine but not even try to cach. No smell of petrol at exhaust but plugs are wet and getting a spark. Put a couple of gallons of petrol in it "just in case" and did get a smell of petrol at back end for a while. Brother suggested "Easy start" so fired some up air intake post intercooler and car was trying to catch. Seems to me like fuel starvation but plugs are usually wet when checked. Took car to local mazda dealer (I know, I know) who checked it out and said that no fault codes were showing at all. Said all plugs wer nines when shold be 2 nines & 2 sevens and wanted to charge me an arn & a leg and I mean an arm & a leg to change them. I wasnt convinced as car was running fine with all plugs being nines so brought the car home. Any ideas?
