Non-start issue after paint - electrical?
The FD is in the shop getting a full paint job. The shop R&I everything part/component on the car to make sure that the paint and clear has factory refinish. So I came by the shop to check out the car today. It doesn't start. The Power FC Commander doesn't turn on, I kept on trying to turn the ignition numerous times, and sometimes, it turns on intermittently, but flickers the Apexi screen only. I can't diagnose the problem.
Mods:
99 spec twins non-sequential
Power FC + Commander, tuned Steve Kahn
PF SMIC
Full Exhaust
Supporting mods.
I don't think it's a mechanical issue, because the car ran fine prior. What could cause this? Is it possible the Power FC is damaged?

Hi there, so I take it the car wont even turn over?
Have you checked the checked the battery and fuses are OK?
How long was your car in the shop for? Id try a new battery/try to jump start it before worrying.
Wouldent be surprised if the shop left the keys sitting in the car and the ignition not toally in the off position and ran the battery dead or something.

What is R&I ? Did they take everything out of your engine bay? Bad ground perhaps?

Check the "Engine" Fuse in the fuse box under the drivers foot-well. Last week I shorted something on the car and the same thing happened. My powerfc wouldn't turn on, and the car would just crank but not start. It ended up being that fuse.
Although you did say that sometimes the commander screen turns on, so if that's the case it can't be the fuse because it wouldn't turn on ever, maybe it's just loose?

Unplug and plug the commander back on, same result. I had the shop took off the carpeting in my trunk. There was a pool of water (about 1/3 of the spare wheel well) in the trunk due to recent rain. I'm assuming the shop had left my car out there with the spoiler off. So anyways, the dash light, interior lights, tail lights, gauge cluster, power fc, and alarm system is not getting power. The headlamps are getting power, the motor cranks, but not turning over. What is the culprit?? What does the rear lights, power fc, alarm, interior lights, gauge clusters have in common? Do they share the same fuse or harness?

My first thought was the primary ground, but if it's cranking it has to be a non-primary ground, especially if hte lights are flickering, it's making intermittent contact or arcing to make contact. I would check every ground that you know was removed. Also check the plugs to the computers, anything that was disconnected may not have been reconnected properly.
