non sequential turbos

hey guys, just tryin to get some ideas for how to make my fd a little better. i am still gettin used to the 3rd gen rx7 and its taken me a bit to make the transfer from a 12a 85 (auto) hahaha. i heard you can make the turbos non-sequential so they both start at the same time. any thoughts or ideas if this will wreck anything or will it just kick ***? also im assuming i will need a wankel pirate to help me out with this operation but maybe i can do a few things to get the car ready so i dont have to pay someone to touch my baby in its naughty places. thanks guys.

If you aren't having any turbo/boost problems, I would recommend not touching anything.

ya i dont know if im havin problems with my turbos i have never had a car with a turbo before much less two, i dont know what it is supposed to sound like when the second turbo kicks in. mine get a deeper purr and almost doesnt seem like it gets anymore power, is it supposed to kick my *** when turbo two kicks in? i would rather just have a little more get up and go outta my first stage without having to turn my boost up untill i get engine managment.

I have to agree with these guys on this one I went Non-sequential only because my sequential system was always causing me issues. If it would have worked properly I would have left it sequential.

ok i can deal with that hahahaha, but the only reason i want to do it in the first place is because i wasnt sure if i had the right amount of power out of my second turbo. i dont have engine managment so i just leave my boost pretty stock, when im boosting like 10 pounds and i hit my second turbo is drops down to like 5 pounds of boost. wtf? hahaha i dont know if im just retarded or if something is not right, anyone know what i can do to troubleshoot this?

thanks a lot guys!

i agree with everyone on here about leaving it sequential if working properly, i went non seq due to several problems with stock system, i love non seq for being simple vaccum setup. as for power if your stk system is working properly non seq isn't going to provide more power unless u have all the porting/machine work done on the manifolds etc. search this site, i did, found all i needed to know, did the ''richmans version'' myself. well i should call it the poormans version of richmans as i didn't do all the porting. where are u located in bc?

well sounds like he's having issues w/ the seq. the first turbo is coming on at 10lbs but it should dip down to 8 when the second one is coming on and rise up to 10....but you said it's dropping to 5
