Non Sequential Questions.

Well, I've been getting alot of blue smoke from my exhaust after getting the car running again. It's a new motor so I immediatly checked the intake tract for oil. I noticed there was some considerable ammount of oil in the tract so I've been assuming my turbo's were on there way out.

So, recently I bought a set of low mileage turbo's already converted over to full non sequential. Yesterday I started work on the conversion and got the old turbo's out. They are perfectly dry with no shaft play. I work at performance shop and the boss/owner who is helping me says he see's absolutely nothing wrong with my old turbo's! Any idea's what could be blowing oil into my intake tract, causing me to burn alot of oil?

Now here's the main question. On the new turbo's, what looks like the pre spool actuator was welded about half way open. I assumed before that this is what was supposed to be welded at 90% or cut out completely. Now when we took the turbo's out I see the main "flap" controlling exhaust flow to the secondary in the first exhaust manifold... and I'm wondering if this is the flap I'm supposed to cut out. It appears so to me. If so... what was I supposed to do to the pre spool flap? Should that be cut out too or just left welded where it is? I'm going to be putting the new turbo's on later today so any quick answers would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry for my stupid questions, rotories are still new to me!

The flapper door in the exhaust manifold is supposed to be cut out. You are right.

As far as the precontrol flapper, some weld it completely shut, some remove it and some weld it 90% open...I had it welded shut and seems to work just fine. I'm sure the position it is welded in is fine.

Looking thru your mod list...might want to upgrade secondaries along with primaries...just an opinion though.
