Hi last night when I drove from my girlfriend's back to mine the transmition started to make whining noises. The noises go away when I am on the gas, but when I just coast it starts to whine doesn't matter if I am in gear or in neutral. I've have first gear grinding ever since I had the car, but nothing else with the 5-speed. Anybody have any idea what's going on with this. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

 

if the first gear grinds already, I recommend a rebuild

 

Get that rebuild because you can loose any gear but 1st!!

 

My car grinds in reverse and it just started grinding in 1st, i might have the same problem that u have...
