Question Non BOSE to BOSE Wiring ?

I searched and couldn't find much.

My car is not a bose...

My stereo is an Alpine...

And I want to run the bose tube in my car because I like how it sounds and I also like how I can still put stuff in the back.

Does any one have a digram for the amp wires to the tube so I can hook in my alpine?

Does it use low or high level inputs?

Or would I be better off running a small (aftermarket )amp into the speaker? Also is it one speaker in there I havent opend it up yet?

Any help anyone can offer would be appreciated.

you cant really do it. I just went through this with the installers at work
each speaker in an RX7 has its own Bose amp. To even put a deck in it requires a complete rewire, to disconnect all the amps and run the speakers off deck power, and run new power and ground wires for the deck.

Check this out for some more info... http://www.scuderiaciriani.com/rx7/s...e_install.html

I have used the rear subs with a low level source and they worked fine (although it was only for an hour while I was playing with them), so I'd guess they are low level. As for wiring them up you will need a relay to power the subs that is switched on with your radio.

Many installers say that you it is not possible but they are dead wrong.

I have a non bose system in my FD and I'm running the bose snake. Yes all bose speakers (1 ohm) have an individual amp for power because the BOSE deck is passive . All you need is an attenuator to dampen the signal coming from your aftermarket stereo. It works fine I've had mine for a year and a half. The sticky up top should supply you with a wiring diagram.

Get a 8" AMP RS Bazooka tube, it sounds better than the Bose Wave System and its smaller and lighter. Save yourself the headache beside most of those speakers or amps blow out fairly easy. I posted this in another thread but remember its a 10 year old stereo how many stereos that old still sound good.

you know... it might be better to just get a small ten inch sub and put it in the back. It sounds wayyyyyyy better than that **** bose crap and it won't take up that much space. I personally have 2 huge MATTS procast 12's and it would kill any bose system...
