NJ nology hot wires

has anyone ever use nology hot wires, if so what improvements have you noticed? also what plugs did you use and is it safe to use nology plugs and wires on a 13b? lemme know, i want to do my ignition and im a little unsure, im def. getting the HKS twin power but i want more, let me know...

I ran them on a previous vehicle, and they actually caused some electrical issues.

If I got on the throttle at low rpm, high load, my entire gauge cluster turned off and reset like I had just started the car. I played with the plug gap and a grounding kit and lessened the problem, but it was still there intermittently.

For the money, I would recommend a standard set of really nice plug wires.

Stock NGK wires seem to work best on these cars.

I've used them and still do. They actually work. If you REALLY want to get info on my experience you'll have to look for my post in someone else's thread. I know Jeff at Nology, give him a call and tell him I sent you...

Hmmm, so it must a vehicle specific thing then. I wouldn't put a set of these on one of my cars, even if they gave them to me for free.

After all the electrical gremlins I had to deal with. No thanks. Even their tech support couldn't help.

They're not related at all to anything "electrical." I think people have no idea what the wires are, how they're made, or even how they work. The Nology wires use a VERY low resistance wire inside that make spark ULTRA efficient. The grounding strap on them is just for the built-in capacitor. If you can't figure out how to make a good ground maybe you shouldn't be toying with these cars. We already suffer from frequent ground problems. I'm not directing this toward anyone I'm just stating that they really work and I personally use them so it's not a third party opinion. I wish I didn't throw out all my old ngk plug wires. I would take pictures of the restance via multimeter of both and show pictures...

I am not trying to discredit you, but i HAVE had bad experiences with Nology's.

And you can't go off the resistance. There is a reason the FD uses resistance type plugs.

So my question (so I can get the full picture of your setup) would be what other ignition components are you running? Perhaps the combination you have is a really good one?
