Is this noise normal?
I noticed a noise coming from the rear passenger side of the car.
It’s most apparent when I get into the car with the emergency break engaged and the car is not running. The weight of getting in causes the car to move little and I hear the noise. I am now hearing it when starting to accelerate from a stop or at very low speeds when the suspension is moving. I thought it could be a bushing (and it very well still could be) but playing around with the car I noticed the rear passenger side axle has a little play. The noise in the below video sure sounds like the noise I am hearing. I am not certain. But it could be.
is it normal for the axle to have some in and out play like this? If not, any thoughts on what’s causing this ? Cv? Wheel bearing?
There are no other symptoms. Nothing. Just the noise.

This made me curious so I went outside, jacked up the rear of my car and tried it. No play, no noise.
I did find a ripped boot though, so thanks for making me get under it and look.
