So i have noticed when im idling before the car gets to normal operating temperture there is this weird winding noise. I know its the transmission because when i step on the clutch the noise goes away. BUt when I let go of it the noise comes back.

This only happens when the engine is still cold. Anyone know what it is and if its bad or just another one of those rx7s noise.

 

Bearing. If it bothers you that much...be prepared to take down the tranny and change it.

 

thx... nah its not very bothersome since i usually have the music on anyways. Just wondering what it was.
