random suck tonite. was driving, randomly shut off coasting to a stop sign. thought it was flooded so tried letting it sit etc, but it will not start.

im a FD noob, have a 10ae fc, but when i pull the spark plug wire and crank it theres no spark. on none, front rotor or rear. it wont fire at all.

what usually dies? coilpacks? resistor? ignitor?

Help. i <3 my FD and prefer to move it instead of push it.

As elementary as it may seem check fuses. If it's not that then it's a matter of testing things starting with coils, then igniter, and so on.

 

I doubt it's the coils if you are getting no spark at all. Does the car have an ignition amplifier that amps all 3 coils like the hks twinpower? if so, check that. Also check the ignition wiring harness and ignitor as stated above.

first thing i did do was check fuses. all fuses good. how do i check the ignitor and wiring harness?

the car was runing crappy previously, rev'ed but had nil power. way weaker than my catless boost up FC

 

whats an ignition amplifier? its a stock 93 R1, under the brake booster theres a little metal thing, and an ignitor chip nearby.

it almost will startup, but wont

 

ok. swapped to FC t2 coil. no differance. im suspecting ignitor? how do i see?
