no secondary

Ok, primary is fully functional, but when it hits 6K rpm, car felt like it hits rev limiter and wouldnt rev. any higher, and secondary turbo does not come on at all....maybe a lose vacumn line? Check valve? It ran perfectly fine the day before. Put the car in neutral, and it revs to redline without trouble. any opinion on this?

TIA

Unhappy holy cow im not so alone after all

yeah aint that a bitch, same thing for me bro, if you figure it out, tell me whats up, also look at your boost sensor box? (lil black box just to the front of the intake manifold) and see if your vacuum lines to it are cracked all to hell cause mine are (even though acosta just recently replaced them, good product guys) and i think that has to do with it, do you also have a funny idle?

im gonna see if i have a boost or vacuum leak from the turbo control solenoid..

maybe this will help you...

luck with that man... if i find any way to fix it i'll tell you too. laterz man,

Well I just had an engine overhaul w/ new silicone lines and all, plus I took my car to dyno and tuned w/ PFC, and it pulled like a shaved ape prior to breakdown. The car ran fine, since it is a large ported motor, my idle is a little over 1000 rpm to keep the motor alive. Anyway, primary boost all the way to 12 psi, but no secondary, plus my rev. hits a 6K wall on load.....strange....maybe I popped a hose, or maybe a bad checkvalve, or maybe a bad solenold.....

Well looks like my check valve that comes off the dbl throttle is broken, I removed it, and couldnt not blow air through on both sides. So I took the check valve off and plug in the vacumn line, and the car ran worst then before, no boost on primary nor secondary, anyway, I will replace all check valve tonight to see if that solves the problem. Thanks...FYI, I check all the lines, and they look pretty good.

You would have been better off just buying all 4 valves from Dale. His are made out of Viton so they handle the heat better, and you can get all 4 from him for the price of 1 stocker.

Update...

This is Polo's friend. Car ran fine w/ the new check valve in the double throttle to the intake manifold. We were rewiring the fans last night and took the car out for a spin and the same thing started happening (secondary wouldn't come online and it wouldn't rev past 6k rpms).

Polo is going to test the Turbo control solenoids this weekend. Anything else we should be looking for? Im shocked that the check valve made the car run fine for a day or so and now we are back to where we started.

Thanks so much for your help!

I wont bother giving you the link forcing you to read 4 pages of thread.

I just had a 2nd turbo fault on a customers car that almost got the better of me as I got frustrated searching for a turbo fault that wasn't there.

Turned out to be a collapsed rear muffler (stock system) blocking flow. CATs also melt down & block flow too, so drop your entire system & run off the front dump pipe only, take her for a spin & check out what happens. I have seen this on several 92 models before

I will take off the CAT and exhaust to see if the car runs any better. I seriously doubt the valve goes bad in 1 day, however, I have seen many unusual things happened in our cars...What would cause the 6K rpm problem?
