No boost on quick gear changes - FRUSTRATING
Someone please help me. I just rebuilt my engine and stock turbo's. Plus, I added a 3" downpipe and exhaust, and a big IC.
When I run hard (when racing) and switch from 1st to 2nd, I get full boost in first gear, then when I change to 2nd, there is a loud "clacking" noise from the passenger side and minimal boost. The same is true when I switch from 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th - whenever the stock bov has little time to release pressure.
However, I find that when I switch gears slowly (allowing pressure to be released from through the bov) I can achieve full boost in the next gear.
Could it have anything to do with the size of the bov? I am getting a twin chamber apexi bov in a couple days. I'm running on the 2 stock valves with a big ic. I just can't explain the boost loss...
Please help me, I'm very frustrated and would like my car to run at its full potential.

Mine has the same problem....If I change gears really quickly, it alsomst seems like the computer "forgot" to add boost. But if I change gears casually, no problems...plus my second turbo is not holding pressure, but thats something else I suppose.
From what I understand the stock BOV works great. Mine works great is actually pretty loud. If there's that much lag then I think it would be something else. What computer do you have? The stock turbo system works like 15% of the time perfectly - the other 85% is all headaches and troubleshooting. Going non-sequential usually solves a lot of boost problems unless your turbos are spent
