No Boost

No Boost
I recently bought a 94 FD which is stock with no mods. i have been reading alot of the forms on what to check for and about adding reliabilty mods. Well the first thing it says I should get a boost gauge and see what my boost settings are, well i did getm the boost gauge hooked it up to my upper manifold nipple but when I start the car up it only read out vacuum of 14 and will never get up to any boost reading no matter how much throttle I give it. I went out on the road to do the boost test but it still does not registar any boost pattern on the gauge. Thought it might be a bad guage so obtained another and still had same results. The car idles, drives and has response, I can feel the turbo kicking in just fine. I took it on a 1500 mile trip 2 weeks ago and didn,t have a bit of trouble with it. I did notice that on of the vacuum hoses to the pressure tank poped off but I replaced it and tye wrapped it back on but still have same issues with boost not regeristting on the gauge.
I am in delima as to what is going on ! It seems to me that if the car didn't show boost on the gauge the primary turbo wouldn't be working !

is the gauge mechanical or electrical?
Also, you could just have a monster boost leak, its note exactly unheard of.... Check all of the coupling points, especially from the y-pipe to the crossover pipe, as that joint is particularly prone to failure. Also check that there is still an o-ring between the TB and the TB-elbow. Pics always help too.
That being said welcome to the **********ful world of FD ownership.

it could be but more likely boost leak as others have said,go to the car, take off all the rubber hoses and pinch them to make sure they arent cracked. then u can get under the car and unhook the wastegate from the actuator if you want and see if it moves.
