Nitto Drag radial user's?

Hi guys,
I managed to pick up some 245/50/16 for my 7. My goofy tire service center put a hole into my M and H racemaster drag radials. So I picked up the Nitto's for this weekend.

My questions are?
What tire pressure do you guys use at the strip?
How long of a burnout do you need to do?
What is the best rpm to launch at?

thanks for the replys
jc

That's what I was thinking!...I normally run between 15 psi to 20 psi.

I dump at 6000 rpm's though

I am afraid to launch higher than 5000 on the drag radials. worried about things breaking.

All I know is that the car hooks up hard, and just chirps for a second and then the car flies.

btw 18-20 psi

They should sell them at their website. I think that K2RD's website is...

www.k2rd.com

...I got them from their Okinawa rep that's got a "shop" here. Pretty cheap too. They really do help with the wheel hop!

I run between 18-20psi n my Nitto's and I also launch at around 6k-6.5k. I spin a bit and ten hook up and go. If I launch much lower I bog the motor down and any higher....well....I can imagine I would spin like mad. I worked my way up to 6k and it depends on teh track or street that I am on. Some places I launch around 5k but not very often.

Oh and my 60' times with out any burnout are 2.0-2.1 which is not good but I heard not to do burnouts with these tires. Some people said to and some said only real slicks need burnouts and that it would only make theses tires more slippery. I don't know. I tried to do a burnout one time and left the ABS fuse in and made a fool of myself because my car wouldn't stop lunging forward and rolling through the box. Never tried again. Maybe next time.
