Nitrous only way to be competitive.
Thanks GUN..
Damn ernie.. you gettine me depressed..
There are actually 7's out there running 7's
and 8's with no NItrous.. 40PSI of boost.
WOW. Must have a Jet turbine in there.
I am not gonna go out and
BUY a NITROUS KIT.. I just want some 411
on IT.
GUN... - Thanks for the LINK...
**** I think Nitrous would be good just to ICE down
my IC before a RUN. Heat soaking while stagging
i would thik is robbing us from HP..
So any one RUN Nitrous with stock injectors??
Or do I need to upgrade secondaries?? with ruel rail?
I already have fuel pump..
How does one TUNE with Nitrous SHOT??
Same concept as regular tune,right??
with Wideband 02 sensor. So it can be done..

I gonna keep bumping this THREAD...
Come on, where all the guys running
NITROUS??? Hints?? pointers?? Recommendations?
All you guys running 14's and never been
to a track.. Dont flame me because i am
intersested in NITROUS..

You keep asking if you can use the stock injectors. Several people have answered you that a WET system supplies its own fuel, therefore no more work done by your injectors. Ask whoever sold you your bigger pump how much fuel it can supply. Can it do the horsepower you want?
The restriction with the stock turbos is that they run out of efficiency at higher boost, AND the exhaust manifold is restrictive. That exhaust manifold will still be in the way with 12 lbs of boost and nitrous.

Ok, then can I flame you for something else?
I haven't seen any flaming towards you yet..
Thanks Tyson..
I eventually plan on getting 1300 secondary injectors.
Good to know I dont have to Redo the Whole fuel
system, from rails injectors and fuel pump.
I got the upgraded nippondiso fuel pump. Not sure
if its enough, but Ill try to find out.. Gues I gonna
call RX7.Com ( where I bought it from).
Ok another question, Bare with me..
Sorry if my questions are redundant,
and sound stupid.. BUT I just tring to learn.
OK.. For example..
I got my PFC set at 12psi.
I do a run with nitrous.. and say I am in 2nd gear
at WOT with Turbos at 12psi.. Then I HIT the Nitrous.
How does that effect the turbos?? Would it create
MORE PSI??? and run into boost cut issues???
During the NITROUS SHOT, Since the NO2, creating
more Oxygen, I need to program the ECU to dump
more FUEL and Retard the timing to create a optimaal
11/1 af ratio.. right??
Another newbie NITROUS question:
WHen you hit the NITROUS.. Does the NITROUS continuesly spray during the whole run, From when
you hit the BUTTON?? OR does it cut off between
shifts and you hit the button again????
Ok 1 more question:
ANYONE RUN WITH A 50SHOT??
IF SO HOW MUCH OF A TIME DIFFERENCE DID IT MAKE
IN YOUR 1/4 ????
thanks
Barewith me. long learning curve here.
Thanks..

Setting up the nitrous system correctly to allow for you to safely HIT the button when your at say 6000 rpms is more complicated than solving the worlds drought and hunger crisis. I've only know one person that hit the button while in the upper rpms......he also replaced his motor less than 2 months later. Use it to help spool up like others have mentioned and let the boost do its thing as the rpms go up if you are going to add it to the car.

The volume of exhaust gas will rise when your nitrous is activated. So, yes you likely will have a FUEL CUT issue, because you will have more exhaust gasses going through the manifold. The wastegate likely won't be big enough to bleed off the excess gasses to prevent the boost from rising beyond the setpoint.
A 50 shot of nitrous is a waste of time. I thought you wanted to go 10's? Look at the flak Ryan(DON'T_BE_A_RIKKI) took when he announced his stock turbos made 350 Hp with 11 PSI. He ran a high 11. Very few people have got into the 11's with the stock turbos. Adding 50 Hp won't put you into the 10's.
Look at domestic Pro Street competition. The all nitrous guys get a huge weight and displacement break and still get their asses kicked by, you guessed it, the turbo guys.
I don't believe the PFC has an ignition retard for nitrous, like more expensive ECU's do. That means if you want to run a big nitrous hit, you might have to retard the timing all the time.
Nitrous is usually activated by, 1 opening the bottle valve, 2 arming the nitrous system, 3 a switch activates the nitrous at WOT. Guys with big turbos have a more advanced system that only uses nitrous at LOW RPM, then shuts off once they hit an RPM they've pre-programmed.
Nitrous is not a magic pill like in the movies. (NAAAWWS)

THanks...
So anyone here successfully use Nitrous??
With a PFC??? anyone know if PFC can
be used with Nitrous??
Thanks Tyson + Tim..
So Nitrous on Rotary Turbos are only used at
Lower RPMS to create more boost faster.
then cut off @ higher RPMS like 6k..
So this is done electronically? and not manually?
So anyone with NITROUS take a Run with and with out it? Wondering how much of a difference it makes.
