Newbie... R1 question

Does the R1 come with cruise control? This is just a question that came to me tonight. I am trying to get rid of the stang so I can buy a 3rd gen... which will hopefully be soon! I do actually know a fair amount about the 3rd gen and the 13B... but I am hoping to learn a lot more here! Was up Phil... thanks for the site rec!

Don't believe it came with the R1 package. You could probably have gotten it as a dealer option though.

The R1 doesn't come with cruise control. Not sure about the other models though.

I believe the Touring models are the ONLY ones that came with cruise from the factory.

I know a fair amount like I said... I've never been an options kind of guy... so I didn't know about cruise. I do a fair amount of interstate... that's why. I'm in it for the performance. I want an R1 b/c first it's a 93 which i can afford... and second it's already got some speed stuff from the factory... without the fluff. Y'all are really fast with the replies! Thanks!

The R1 and R2 models did not come with cruise. All other models did. Don't get hung up on getting an R1. The only real differences are slightly stiffer shocks, slightly larger rear sway bars, and dual oil coolers. These items are all easily addressed once you purchase it. Personally, I wouldn't give up the sunroof or cruise just to get parts that are easy to upgrade to later.

Base - option
Touring - standard
R1 - No
I like cruise control but I own an R1 so I just live w/o it. It is not that bad except for on really long trips.
