Ill find out from him tommorrow and post it up. Im planning on taking the car to Rotary Performance in Garland Sometime this week. The previous owner is being really cool about it and im 100% positive that he was unaware of the issues that existed, but we are going to get it all figured out.

update: I took the FD down to Garland to Rotary Perfance on Tuesday. I called chris this morning and he said that it didnt not pass the compression test so it looks like its going to be rebuild time.

Ill get with him tonight about the hood louvers guys.

Sorry to hear that, but your symtoms sounded bad from the get-go. Hope you didn't spend too much on the initial purchase of the car. Good luck on the rebuild and I hope it all works out.

I'm still trying to figure out why the originator of this thread posted cosmetic shots of his car in a help wanted thread? There is a sticky at the top of the forum for such photos. Yes, I'm an ******* to some degree. Have a nice day.

Good luck with the re-build. Sorry to read of your misfortune. Obviously, you've got the car at one of the best shops in the country.

BTW: If I had to drive 170 miles round-trip to work, I'd move. Also, if you're ever in Owasso, OK and see a silver FD with a red RX-7 badge on the rear and red leather, stop and say hi to her (the car) for me.

Wow. Sorry to hear about that man. I've seen and pulled Kevin's T78 while still on my stock twins ( this was last year sometime). He is deffinately a standup guy. that will stand behind his word. but i have to admit he's had his car for a LOOOONNNGG time(maybe the origional owner) and even with all the time and money he has spent on it he really doesn't know anything about it. Like you said RP did all the work. Again sorry for the bad luck.

Hey quicksilver! I have lived in Owasso for over 12 years and have NEVER seen a silver FD. Did you sell one to someone that lives up here or something?

Well I took my car to Rotory Performance and they contacted me today with the news. It appears that the apex and corner seals were toasted due to overheating . he said he was about 90% done with it. So will be picking it up as soon as I get back from Germany. I cant wait to drive it.. lol

Sweet. What part of OK are you in? I'd love to see what that car can do when running properly.
