Newbe to the 7

I just bought a 94 RX-7 MB. 2 days after I got it the stock intercooler cracked so, Like a DumbA$$ I went out and bought a brand spakin new Koyo not doing any research on cheaper prices like here, and installed it. Everything was going fine untill last weekend I left it sitting all weekend got back in it and started it and the add coolant light was on. So I added coolant thinking I didn't fill it up all the way or something. Now every other day the add coolant light comes on and I have to add some coolant. It's been about a week and I have added 1 gallon total. Need some help.

the stock radiator cracked?

usually it can take a few days or even week or so before the coolant system is fully burped, I carried a jug of water and coolant around in my car just for reasons like that. Just keep burping the system

either your cooling system was bled impropery, your AST is leaking, or you need to tighten the drain plug at the bottom of the Koyo, and check all your hoses. ALL your hoses.

The drian plug is tightend all the way and there is no AST(that might have something to do with it. I only have 2 hoses coming off the radiator and one going into the overfill tank

Yes,

Start the car, wait until the needle goes to the middle, shut it down, let it cool for few hours, and fill it up.

After you do this 4-5 times and still you have to add half a gallon of coolant, than you might have a leak somewhere else. Get a pressure tester and see if your coolant system looses pressure. good luck!

Autozone will let you borrow one for free. you would have to make a deposit. I have one that I never return back to them.. I think its too late for me to do so.

Everytime you drive and the car is cooled down, just fill it up. Correct way is to open the ast and fill the ast first, than the filler neck.
