Thumbs up New twin kit

I was just looking around at random places to buy rx7 stuff today and found that the twin kit is now available for purchase. Twin T28's for 4799 and are made for order. Looks sweet just don't know anything about its power output.

I've heard something about A-specs kit but never knew to much. All I know is that before this was posted on the store all it had was a pic of a twin kit (looks identical) and said A-Spec above it.

The previous pic was Broder Racing's twin kit. I beleive these current pics are of A-Spec's twin kit. I remember some hype when they were in the prototype stage but I haven't heard anything else about them since. I'd like to know more abut them!

I'm still waiting for the day someone makes an aftermarket exhaust manifold to support the turbos sequentially

You and me both. I wonder if some modifications to the stock would allow that. I'm surprised there aren't more people looking into it. I'd like to see some more competition for sequential.

No modifications to the stock manifold. I'm thinking a fully tubular manifold with all the flaps and actuators in place.

I think it's VERY possible. Problem is it will need some extreme creativity.

I don't know so much about creativity as much as good engineering designing skills. It definately could be done, and probably will be in the future. Hopefully once I'm done here I will have the skills to. one day.

I don't think the problem with the tube manifold is "can it be done" but rather are you willing to pay the high price rather then going single. I though about having it done in inconel, but heat coated SS would work fine (maybe better). I have someone that can do it in titanium as he can build 500hp hot rods from scratch in titanium (even makes his own titanium nuts, bolts & washers).

Maybe RotaryExtreme will take it on as a new project?

Hmmm...

I doubt it would be significantly better than the stock manifold....

To maintain the sequential operation of the turbos, it would still have to allow both ports to feed one turbo.. which means a log-style manifold. Sure, it might be a stainless log manifold and you could probably make it a litle larger to accomodate more exhaust.. an external wastegate would be the best benefit, probably.. but it's still going to be a log manifold.
