New turbos or Catch can??

I have oil in my intake system, a good bit of it, in the IC and also all the lines. But it seems most of it is coming mainly from the CRV, BOV, what ever it is called that goes from the primary turbo into the intake system. Their doesn't seem to be much if any coming from the secondary through the other line.

It seems to burn some oil when I drive it hard, but like when I took it to the track last weekend. My question is, Is this a turbo problem or just mostly oil from the system?? BTW it only smokes on start up for roughly 10-15sec.

When track, do you mean road racing or just drag racing?

When road racing, oil in the intake track is expected. If you are getting it in your intake track from just street driving, then it's most likely a turbo problem.

The smoke at startup, does it happen every time you start it or only in the morning?

I mean road racing, I'm not much into drag racing, to hard on the drivetrain.

Well I'm in the process of cleaning out the piping and IC and I'm going to drive it for a few days to see if there is some oil in the system before I track it again.

Will autoX cause oil in the system because there is one here in 2wks and if so I'm going to take it back apart before it?? I ask because most of the stuff I've read says only on long hard cornering but AutoX is just short quick transitions.

The smoke only happens when it is cold.

You sure it's oil smoke coming out the exhaust at startup? And not just water vapor? Even if it is oil, if it only happens when starting cold, and consistently stops in a short time, I wouldn't worry about it.

FWIW, I've yet to see a track-driven FD that didn't have some oil in the intake tract.

Thanks alot, I may just not worry to much about it right now, and wait a while to get them fixed.

Yeah I'm sure it is oil, I can smell it and its to much for just vapor. It also seems to smoke more when it is totally full of oil than it does when it is alittle low.
