very solid shifting under load.....vibrations are better than a solid brace.....my previous brace was solid tube...this time i decided to incorporate the shock....fully adjustable(shock dampner and rod length)...softens the vibrations considerably while retaining the rigidity needed to restrain motor movement....

911GT2,
Those are on every car. He just mounted his lower than normal so they pass under the lines (probably bent them upwards) rather than above.
Make sure that spring is very stiff. If you have any significant displacement under load then there is no point in having the brace.

Blow up or win
Looks good. I built one similar a while back with a gas spring - it really worked well.
The only problem was that it was masking the real problem: a broken OEM driver's side mount and a worn passenger side mount.
What cracks me up is that an entire cottage industry has been born because of poorly designed mounts - that have been dramatically improved by Mazda - and are readily available for $370.00 shipped from Malloy.
I gotta say it sure is alot easier slapping on a "torque brace" - whatever - than installing new motor mounts, which IS a monster job.
I think you'll find if you take the effort to install some new, updated OEM motor mounts you'll find that crisp shifting return, and you won't have to worry about transient vibration stressing other components and your upper intake manifold engine hanger bracket - which was designed for vertical - not horizontal - loading.
If you're running high HP you need urethane mounts.

its a 93...and yes i did have to "slightly" bend the lines up...lol.....but its not bad....and the spring and shock are very tight....i am not currently planning on producing them yet...but if need be...i am prepared..lol..... the shock is out of an aircraft seat so getting them is kind of an issue....but i can buy them new....
