Do RX7 have back seats ? any model any year ?

The Japanese models had back seats in place of the bins. However, they forgot to include foot room, so they are essentially useless. I'm told there is an advantage to have the car classified as a 4 seater under Japanese motor vehicle laws. I don't know which model years and trim levels had them.

Yes, you can get a set of those seats and replace the bins. But would be for purely cosmetic reasons.

yea i think i would like to look at a actual rx7 and see the space in the back maybe ill buy one if i can fit a back seat in it and use it when i really need it.

the only chance you'd ever be able to "use" it, is if you had a friend who happend to be a legless midget, and even then, thats pushing it.

There really is NO room, and frankly, a complete waste of time. Sports cars should only have 2 seats. ever...

i've read in 1 of the thread that if there's a back seat on the RX7 for the US version, your car insurance will be cheaper. can someone verified this whether it's correct as i never know DMV set this kind of regulations.

doubt it cuz the car was built to be a 2 seater, if you put seats in the back thats just your choice

one thing i should say is that i want to get some bins and take my seats out, they cost heaps from mazda ($750nz) as the seats are useless. and you dont have to worry about people riping the back of your seats and getting them dirty, as there is no foot room.

why would you want more seats? you wont be able to use the carpool lane with 2 people if you put back seats in there and you wont get free toll either. thats why 2 seaters are so great.
