Exclamation New to RX7's

Hi, everyone.. im new to RX7's and this site also. Im lookin at this 93 R1 thats got just over 40,000mi on it. Ive seen the car, and the thing is mint. The owner is askin $20,000 for it. Its all stock, and its gotta warranty till 2006. Its fully loaded and everything. Im just looking for some opinions on what i should do. Im 18 yrs old, and i dont have much more money than the cost of the car. So if you guys can reply some newb suggestions for me, or what i should look out for that would be sweeet.. thanks
JJ

oh oh, your gonna be in trouble if the only money you got is just enuf for the car. Also note that warrenty does not cover when you mod the car (even for relibility mods) so you might be screwed. Hopefully you will have enuf money after 2006 to rebuild your engine because i can almost gaurentee you'll need it if you dont do the relilibty mods, especially if you race your car (which is all a FD is really good for/built for).

My advice, if you get it, be very patient with it. I had my FD since i was 17. That was 4 years ago. For a while I was driving on a bad seal among many other problems because i had to. No money to fix it. I would have to say, this car is extremely high maintenance... you gotta have the patience and the money to mod it. It's a great car, I've learned a lot from owning one, but if i could do it over again, I don't think i would do it. I would've maybe gotten something not so high maintenance. But what can I say, the grass is always greener on the other side.

hmmm i would say only get it if u plan on not changing anything, if u are plannin on mods look for a car that is cheaper and pay for teh new engine/turbos/fuel system, u can prob pick up one that looks good but runs bad for like 12 grand. but thats jus my oppinion. oh and READ BOOKS about um, cause unless u are loaded expect to do work urself, it makes u appreciate ur car more
