Looks like you got what you pay'ed for a KOYORAD. I'm guessing it was advertised as such in the auction and you assume it was a KOYO radiator ? ? ? If it is a copy then the name doesn't necessarily mean it's the true brand you were seeking. It still looks like a nice piece and will be better than the stocker none the less.

looks real to me and i have installed a number of the old style ones prior to the change. never heard of a knockoff koyo radiator, even if it was it looks like damn near the same quality as the true ones.

This radiator looks exactly like the triple pass Ramy sold on the forum a while ago. It's genuine. Don't worry about it.

I dont think I have seen a Koyo with a plug on top of the radiator. I will take a look when I get to work.

I bought my KOYO triple pass from Gotham Racing and it looks the same.

Jason: it needs the plug on top in order to bleed out the air in that isolated chamber. I was thinking it was necessary even befor I did researched on triple pass rads. You have to think like an engineer.

kraked: I have a FMIC and live in Houston. Mine cools so much better now that the
fans only come on when stopped or the A/C is on. It cools about 5 degrees more in stop and go with the A/C on. You either do not have a triple pass, or your setup sucks, or you live in hell!

Cruising in 100F weather Its a solid 84C, stuck in traffic or whatever on the same day it will never pass 94C (When my fans kick on).

I actually had my intercooler duct short out the fan wiring and I drove around for a while before I realized the fans werent comming on, never overheated!

Although mine isnt a triple pass.
